Cleaning up & Confessing

1 John 1:1-10
"If we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us ... "

God always forgave our sins at the time of our conversation, but because we live day by day in a sinful world, we sometimes forget our Christian responsibilities & fall into personal sin of one form or another. Perhaps we lie, steal, cheat, swear or lose our temper ..
Immediately we know that we have failed God & sin had entered our lives.

It's like this example:
A Christian father gave his son a box of nails & a hammer, & told him to hammer them into his bedroom wall every time he commits a sin. The boy obeyed, & after a month, his father then said, "Now take the other end of the hammer & pull them out." When all the nails had been withdrawn, the boy saw a lesson he never forgot. Sin leaves marks - but God has a way whereby sin can be cleansed & its marks removed. It is through the blood of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

No looking back

" 'Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God.' "
Luke 9:51-62

You can be sure that as you decide to commit yourself to Jesus Christ, many things will actually distract you from the deep commitment you have made. I would not be surprised if already a number of things have happened to you which have challenged your faith.

We are living in days when great demands are being made on followers of Christ, for our age is full of problems which no other generation has had to face. God wants us to shine as lights in an age that is getting darker & darker. Don't look back, but keep your eyes fixed firmly on your Master who stands out in front. Make him your highest priority, and make up your mind that whatever happens you will follow through with Jesus in every possible way.

Put Jesus First !

I’ll end with a quote of Philippians 4:6-7 from The Message paraphrase. And I encourage you to begin to act on God’s Word today to end the habit of worry in your life!
“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”

Hope & Peace

For today .. we'll have a prayer to pray for the people in need & countries to have peace & hope (:
Father Lord ..
We thank you that our country Singapore is safe& sound & that no war is seen.
We pray that other countries like East Timor that isn't that fortunate would be blessed by you & that the missionaries would provide their need & medical supplies.
We also want you to bless our family & everyone in the world including our enemies (:
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord ..

it doesnt effect anything in your life, besides it makes your life better.

Being filled with the Spirit

According to Ephesians 5:8-20
"...be filled ... with the Holy Spirit, and controlled by him." (verse 18)

Forgiveness Prayer. Hope you forgive and forget

Ephesians 4:26- Be ye angry and sin not:let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

We all need to be able to forgive others, and we also need to ask that others can forgive us when we do wrong. No Human is perfect, and I want others to Forgive me , when I do wrong. Most Importantly, I want God to Forgive me of my Own Sin(s). Therefore, in turn, I Must Forgive Other People. This is "Right" in the Eyes of God.We need to ALL valueHumans and Situations Seriously.We are each created Special in the Eyes of God.We are all fragile.

Feeling Abit Unforgiving ?

According to Matthew 6:5-15
"Your Heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, he will not forgive you. " (Verse 14-15)
A general once said to John Wesley, "I'll never forgive anyone, "Then I hope, sir," said Wesley, "that you never sin." You see, this sentence above clearly shows us that forgiving and being forgiven are all of a piece. If you want to be forgiven - you must forgive. Don't go through life bearing resentments, because these will eat into you and poison your whole being. Any doctor would tell you that a person who bears resentment, and refuses to forgive, will finish up a sick person. We are not made by God to carry bitterness, but if we do, it imposes a load upon us that we are not able to bear.
Prayer: Lord, I don't want to go through my life with bitterness and resentment in my heart against anyone. Teach me to be a forgiving person. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
